Gift Cards

PetSmart gift cards can be purchased in our retail stores. PetSmart Merchandise Return Cards are valid in-store only.

How to Redeem a Gift Card Online:

• Shop online at petsmart.ca and add products to your shopping cart.
• When you're ready to check out, go to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout.
• Enter your gift card number and unique PIN (codes are case sensitive) in section 4: payment details.
• Please save your gift card for future use if it covers the full amount of the transaction. If your gift card only covers a portion of the transaction, an additional form of payment is required.
• If you have a gift card that does not have a PIN, it cannot be redeemed online and can only be redeemed at a PetSmart retail store. In order to use your gift card online, your remaining balance can be transferred to a new gift card at your local PetSmart.
• When making a purchase online at petsmart.ca, you may redeem up to 5 gift cards per order.
• Purchase of gift cards are not eligible for Treats points.
• Merchandise Return cards are valid in-store only and cannot be used to purchase items online.

Gift Card Balance

Checking the balance on your gift card is easy. The remaining balance can be checked on petsmart.ca, at any PetSmart retail store, or by calling a Customer Care Representative at 1-800-820-6189. When you call, be sure to have your Gift Card number and PIN in front of you. Balance information for Merchandise Return Cards are not available online or over the phone. For balance information, bring your card to any cashier in a PetSmart store.

Gift Card Rules & Regulations:

• A Gift Card cannot be used to purchase another Gift Card.
• If the amount of your Gift Card does NOT cover the total purchase amount, you will need to pay for the remainder of the purchase with a valid form of payment.
• If the amount of your Gift Card is MORE than the total order amount, the balance amount will be stored on your Gift Card account for future use.
• Gift Cards are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash, except where required by law.
• PetSmart is not responsible for Gift Cards purchased through a third party with which PetSmart is not affiliated.
• We cannot replace lost or stolen Gift Cards.
• No sales tax is charged when buying Gift Cards. However, products purchased with a Gift Card will be charged applicable sales tax.
