Eyelash crested geckos can live in groups, but do not house two males in a tank. One gecko needs a minimum of a 20-gallon tank, 20" high, with a screened lid.
Line the habitat with reptile carpet or 2-3" of coconut fiber, moss or bark bedding. Remove droppings and spot-clean frequently; change the bedding monthly.
Add a rock or wood decor for hiding, and live or artificial branches for climbing. Mist habitat daily.
Eyelash crested geckos require a temperature gradient (warm on top and cool on the bottom).
Use a low- wattage heat bulb or a ceramic heat emitter to provide warmth. Turn the heat element off for 12 hours at night, as long as the ambient room temperature does not drop below 65°F (18°C).
Equip the habitat with two thermometers (one at the top and one at the bottom) to measure the temperature, and a hygrometer to measure humidity.
