Inspiration In the heart of Banff National Park, rises Mt. Rundle a timeless symbol of natural beauty and wonder. Its iconic
silhouette, adorned with rugged peaks and dramatic cliffs, dominates the skyline. Rising 9,675 feet (2,949 meters) above sea
level, Mt. Rundle commands attention. Mt. Rundle could actually be considered a small mountain range as it extends for over twelve
kilometers. It is one of the most popular mountain scrambles in the park but if you
go, start early, it can take up to 7-8 hours long. The Grizzly leash features of course a Grizzly bear and Rundle
Mountain, the peak that towers over the town of Banff, Alberta. Its imposing
face, carved by ancient glaciers, showcases the passage of time and the immense power of nature. Grizzly Bears also a symbol of power and resilience were an easy choice to add to our design. We wanted a neutral design option and used the Mountain summit as inspiration with this black and white design. About the
Artist The artist who designed the Grizzly design is Nova DeFehr, she moved to
Vernon, BC after graduating with her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design for Marketing in 2008 and has worked for amazing brands across Canada specializing in logo and brand development. In
fact, she is a big part of Rocky Mountain Dog's brand, designing our logo and our first four leash designs. Rocky Mountain Dog will always be inspired by the Rocky Mountains in every design and product developed and sold because we are inspired by mountains and the moments created when we're outdoors with our best
friend, our dog.
