Poop Bags: Picking Up After Your Dog
It’s your duty to pick up your pet’s doodie
Overview
The scoop on poop
Picking up after your dog during walks may not be pleasant, but it’s the right thing to do. After all, no one, not even you, wants to step in your dog’s mess on a sidewalk or in a yard.
Aside from being gross, un-scooped dog poop…
- Can transmit parasites and illnesses to other dogs and people.
- Can pollute nearby rivers and streams.
- Does not make good plant fertilizer. In fact, poop that isn’t cleaned up will encourage other dogs to do their business in the same spot, causing a buildup of nitrogen that can kill grass and other plants.
The solution is simple: Carry plastic poop bags with you at all times. They’re a sanitary and convenient way to pick up your dog’s droppings.
Concerned about the environment? Some bags are made with recycled materials.
