Fish Tank Adhesive and Sealants
Keep your aquarium leak free. With our collection of safe, high-quality fish tank adhesives and sealants, you can correct small problems before they become major issues. Silicone is a very popular aquarium adhesive, as it is non-toxic and sticks well to glass, perfect for attaching fish tank dividers. However, be sure the silicone you buy is aquarium-safe, as some silicone sealants for home repairs include fungicides or antibacterial ingredients that help fight mildew, bacteria and molds, but can also be highly toxic to fish. The advantages to 100% pure aquarium silicone sealant is that it is easy to apply, flexible even when dry, and does not crack or shrink. While it does take about a week to fully cure, once cured it creates a waterproof seal that prevents and stops leaks. Note that it must remain dry to cure properly, so is not intended for use inside the tank while it holds water. Fully drain your tank before using silicone to repair leaks on the inside. You may also want to consider re-sealing an old fish tank before installing a new setup. Moldable epoxy putty can be used to create totally unique aquascapes. Simply glue rocks, coral fragments and other porous decor with a rough surface together to make caves and other ornamental features in your own underwater landscape. Epoxy putty won't stick well to glass and dries best outside of water. You can also use non-toxic superglue with the epoxy when gluing corals or live rocks together for added security. Of course, because we want your fish to live in a space that's as healthy as possible, our adhesives and sealants are non-toxic, and most of them can be used in both freshwater and marine environments – which means that you can buy just one tube for all of your aquariums.
