Ok ..finally went ahead and purchased the 21" Hidden Led - was concerned on how to mount on my Eclipse 3 Hood - was actually pretty simple. Removed the entire light fixture, leaving just the hood, attached the Hidden Led to the back rim and ran the wire through the cutouts in the back ....attach the suction cup-switch to the side and voila! LED is brighter than the fluorescent ..and the "shimmer"action gives the tank a realistic feel. The blue 'nighttime' setting is a lil dark for my taste but can live with it. All and all, pretty happy with the purchase! Will keep ya posted ..but good job so far Marineland!

This light came with my 27 gallon cube tank. It was easy to clip on and everything on it hides well. I adjusted the angle and it makes the colors on the fish really stand out. The night lighting on it makes the brighter colored fish stand out. I have recommended this lighting system to family and friends for their tanks.

I just purchased this light. I installed it on the underside of the lid and it barely lights up my 29 gallon tank. I definitely would not recommend it for a planted tank. I believe the leds that came with it are almost as bright.

by cj85 I bought two of the 21 inch systems to use as day time lighting in my 60 gallon tank. I have them installed on the inside lip on my tank under my hood. You can’t tell that they are installed under the hood unless you are looking up from the bottom of the tank. It makes my tank very bright during the day and where you can adjust the angle made it easy for me to get the lighting effect that I wanted.
At Night I use the fluorescent lights that came with my tank but I put the coralife actinic blue T8 bulbs in. So that the tank glows at night. My daughter loves seeing the glofish glowing at night with the bulbs The photos do not do justice for the lighting at night.
