Rated 4 out of 5 by Matt1234 Overall, nice. But missing a key feature.
This tank is aesthetically very nice. One side of my tank does have some swirls int eh plastic, which is disappointing.
But the biggest issue is lighting. Mine clearly has a spot that will holding a lighting fixture in, the problem is which fixture? I can't seem to find one that fits or any information on a recommended one.

by VicBettasMom Really easy and convenient if you give it a chance
I can understand why some customers aren't happy with this aquarium at first use because it does seem to swirl the p00p into the water and not into the reservoir. The trick is to flush it with fresh, conditioned water 3-4 times (I use a large water pitcher about 1/2 full each time) until the water in the aquarium has been (as close to) completely replaced. Vic Betta is very happy in here with his silk plants and, for the most part, being undisturbed during cleanings! Give it a chance and let yourself get used to it. Also, we keep the lid off so he can have lots of natural light and I can easily drop in his blood worm snacks throughout the day! :)

Everyone please listen. With bettas, guppies, or any small fish you should have a smaller tank. Right? Well this tank should only be used in emergencies, because you should NEVER put a fish in a tank less than two gallons. Its not good for them. Its tiny , and bad. Please take this to think about. Thankyou.

This is a great concept but it needs some improvement. This tank is definitely not self cleaning. I set the tank up and treated the water on a Friday, put a betta fish in the tank on the following Wednesday, by Saturday I had to clean the tank. I poured water in like it says, the waste did not go through the bottom it floated right up through the tank and made a huge mess. I bought larger rocks based on another review but it still didn't work, I think the only way this will work is if you don't use any rocks in the bottom. This tank also desperately needs a light. Needless to say with the help of the staff at my local Petsmart I found another aquarium and will be returning this for a refund.
