by itsjustliz recommended in store by the food rep
We had bought the food storage with the spinning lid, which seemed like the most secure option for our very food motivated puppy. On our way out of the store, when we stopped to engrave our puppy tag, we got in a conversation with an employee/food rep in the store. She mentioned that due to those (screw top) containers being porous, and the oils in the food, they can go rancid and be difficult to clean. She said if we went with those, we should line them with trash bags or something so the oils in the food didn't seep into the container. That sounded like more trouble than we wanted, so we went with this one. It's designed so we can drop the whole bag of dog food inside. We went with the 50 LB bin, which came with casters and an airtight lid, and ample space for the 35 LB bags of dog food we buy. The lady especially recommended this one as it was the only "airtight" one (though others did have rubber seals in the lids and seemed like they would work as well). So far, it's working for us just fine. The casters are nice for us, as well. We haven't had a problem with our pup trying to break in, but I'll update my review if anything changes.

The lid is designed to catch rainwater and when you tilt the container to get rid of the water, the groove is designed to hold the water on the lid and deposit it inside the container when the lid is opened.
I have had to resort to putting the new bag inside the container along with a towel to wipe up the water.
