Low noise, pressure sensitive stopper, easy to use. Great for getting your pet and yourself used to nail grinding. It takes 2-C batteries which are spendy cause they are normally sold in a 4 pack. It's hard to find refills. It turns very slowly, even the slightest pressure stops it, guard is big and bulky not good for small paws. It becomes heavy fast and takes around 5-10 minutes to trim all four paws IF they sit still, if not it will take much long... I generally cut there nails to where I'm comfortable (they have dark nails so I can't see the quick) then use this to file them down closer to the quick and remove sharp edges from cutting. Also a good tool if your trying to back the quick up to its normal position, just a quick buzz each week and with in a month or so it's back to its normal length.

It may not be as fast as it seems to say, but this is a great product. My older dog has long quicks and black paws, so it's easy to end up cutting her quick. With this, there's no worry for that. There's no need to press hard. You're sanding the nail away. It does take some time, but with the risk of cutting a quick, this is a better route. Now with my younger dog, he's afraid of the thing because I pinned him as a puppy to trim his nails. You have to get your dog accustomed to it before even using it like it says. I trim his nails with regular clippers because he still has short quicks.

I have a 70lb hound mix. He has had bad experiences with other dogs at the park and is now defensive around other dogs. So taking him to the groomer makes quite a scene. I tried using this product and the motor just kept binding up and the loud noise made my dog uneasy. Took my wife and I forever just to do one paw. Save yourself the trouble and buy a dremel.

I've been using Pedipaws for a while, and decided to buy a new one when I left my old model with my parents. This new "safety stop" thing when pressure is applied is awful! You can hardly use any pressure, so it takes a long time, and bounces around on the dog's nail, making it uneven, time-consuming, and irritating. Don't waste your money!
