I've tried several popular brands of litter with my three cats. I used to think that Tidy Cats was the only brand my (very sensitive) boy would tolerate and use. However, he still refused to use it when it was fresh out of the pail, likely due to the strong scent. So I spent a few years changing all four litter boxes on a staggered schedule so that there was always at least one where the perfume had dissipated a bit, and even that strategy didn't always work. With this litter, however, I can finally change all of the boxes at once and get the chore out of the way for a week (except for daily scooping, of course). Of all the brands I've tried, this is the least dusty and it produces the strongest clumps. I have had zero issues with litter box usage since switching over a few months ago.
The only cons I see to this litter are that the plastic bags are a little more difficult to haul around than pails used to be, and there is less odor control, i.e., if the box has been used several times over by multiple cats, there will be a whiff of it in the room until that box gets scooped. So essentially, this litter is a little less convenient for me, but a lot better for my cats, so I plan to keep using it.

This is by far the worst litter I've ever used. I've had my cat for 16 years, have another cat for 8 years & have used many different types of litter. Unfortunately my one cat is allergic to the lightweight stuff so I tried this per the suggestion of an article. I feel extremely bad that my cats have had to use this. Not only did it turn all urine into concrete so I had to literally scrape the bottom of my litter boxes by holding the box itself (which.. ewe, I've never had to do... EVER!) but when I did get the clumps they crumbled to the point where the pieces were too small to stay in the scoop. The litter is half fresh litter & half urine crumbles which is disgusting! It smells like amonia. I clean the boxes daily so it shouldn't be so difficult however the time I spent just cleaning them out hurt my leg & knee so bad that I now have an ice pack on it. I have to get another litter but in the meantime my poor cats have to use these horrible smelling contaminated litter that also stinks up my house. I wouldn't recommend it & believe it shouldn't even be a cat owners option.

by FENWAYDAV Love the way Precious Cat Litter clumps and makes cleaning the litter box so easy. I like it and more importantly Lucy likes and uses it.

This is awesome litter, no weird scent that makes my cat smell like bathroom cleaner. I've tried so many litters, I was using natural corn cob clumping litter and my cat was always tracking it and sneezing little snot spatters all over the floor and walls. This stopped imediately upon switching to Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Unscented Clumping Litter. I see no dust and almost no tracking. The particles are a nice size and heavy enough that they stay in the box but it still has a nice feel to her paws. She will not use big chunky litter. It also clumps very tightly. It's a good value. It's a keeper!
