It worked for awhile, until the dogs figured out how to open it. She just pushed it open with her head. It is wooden, it looks nice, and 1 out of three hasn't figured it out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by pstar83 Terrible and useless actually
The usefulness of this gate is zero, so don't buy it. It might stop a 2 week old puppy, but not a puppy any larger than 8 weeks. I am giving this zero stars, rounded up to 1 because it broke right after assembly. More specifically, the pieces are glued together, and the wood just split off. It looks nice until a puppy starts biting on it, because they are teething, and the double hinges (folds both directions) are neat. However that is a useless feature once you attach the legs, so the design is flawed (legs should be under the gate). It is very easily toppled and pushed. Get one that attaches to door frames! Oh, play area?! Nice try, what puppy wants to stay in a 2by5 holding cell, after 8 weeks!!!
To conclude: don't get it, it will break, and won't look nice after a puppy starts biting, it wobbles and can be pushed easily = overpriced piece of useless furniture with a name on it.
P.S. You probably won't have a puppy before 8 weeks, hence the uselessness post 8 week time frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lotsoffaces Great barrier for our dogs and cats
We use this long gate to close off our dining room. It has a large open plan and the gate fits perfectly to keep the dogs and cats OUT! It's finish actually matches our furniture. I may order the extension so I can make it into a play area for our Chi. Puppy.

This gate is a handsome piece of furniture!
It was delivered in perfect condition, packed securely and little assembly required.
It can be configured many different ways and moved to any room or area.
