To keep our kitty from eating too fast and puking, we decided to try this feeder out.
Unfortunately after pouring just a bit of kibble to test it out, our kitty got annoyed reaching in and just knocked the whole thing over and wouldn't touch the food that was scattered all over.
this thing might stand a chance if it was somehow attached to the floor or was too heavy for the kitty to knock it over.

We have one cat who would hog all the food, making the second cat eat to fast (and then puke) his food, so this was recommended to me by an employee. It forces both cats to slow down, and since we replaced the old bowls we've only had a couple incidents of half eaten cat food puke. (down from almost daily) And our "hog" cat has managed to lose some of the extra weight she had. I was doubtful about spending this much on a food bowl, but it's been worth it.

This worked great for the first week. Then my male cat figured out that he could flip it upside down. Now I have cat food all over my kitchen floor all the time. >.<
