After adding a second dog I decided we needed a bigger bowl for water. I purchased this one in store and it's an excellent value. The build quality of the bowl is higher than one I bought from an online retailer, it has better seams and the metal is a bit thicker. Most of all, the size, the 4 qt is BIG and DEEP, the rim on the dish is nice too. My dogs aren't exactly the neatest drinkers so the larger size helps keep a little more water off the floor.
The inside of the 4 QT bowl measures 10" across and is a true 4" deep. A lot of bowls I looked at online said they were 4" deep, but reviews and my own experience found them to be 2.75" deep. This one is actually 4".
The paw imprint on the bottom of this bowl is a really nice extra touch.

I purchased two separate sets of double elevated dog bowl feeders with these stainless steel bowls. I bought them for my cats so they can eat comfortably. The bowls with water in them continue to rust, so I am buying new ones every 6 months. And since I trade them out when I wash them, they all have held water at some point. There are no rustless replacement bowels.
I just bought 5 more bowls thinking I would be set, while I just called Petsmart to express my concerns about this product. They offered me a discount of new feeders. After the new bowls rust, one by one, I'm going to throw it all out. I'd recommend looking for something else. No ceramic replacement bowls will fit this frame.

My 3 boys love these bowls. They are deep enough to keep from spills and wide enough to provide a comfortable eating experience. They wash up easily and are very sturdy.
