We have 2 small dogs (Shih Tsu/Bichon mix) who are ~ 9 mos old. They would bark at EVERYTHING in our yard- every lizard, bird, squirrel, dogs in the neighborhood they could hear, etc. They would start the minute they went outside to the minute we brought them inside. This collar seemed to deter the barking for the first 2 days and then after that, it was back to "normal" with the barking at everything. They seemed to quickly get used to them, even at the higher intensity settings and it didn't phase them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mstngmxgy Thank you
This has worked fantastic for our 30 pound bulldog/Doxie mix. We did not want to shock him but felt the ultrasonic would be better. After just one bark he learned that he is not supposed to bark at the neighbors and now just sits there and watches them. He is also calm around the house and is just fantastic. I would have rated five but I feel a remote control would be excellent addition since you have to reach down and turn on the device as we do not leave it on always. Thank you for providing peace back to our house.

This collar seem to get my dog's attention & he's learning slowly but surely that I don't want him to wildly bark at everyone.
I got him at age 1 & 1/2 years old, so whomever had him before did no training with him & I believe didn't give him.proper health care either. So I don't want to hurt my new pal, buy I want him to learn common sense & be a happy dog!
The batteries run down rather quickly, but I knew that when I saw that they were button type batteries.
I have a lab mix so he's still young compared to other breeds. Patients & Consistency is the key to Real Training! Otherwise you'll end up with a dog that you can not predict & that's bad for the dog & everyone! This collar is worth using & can help if you are willing to work with your dog. Learn what you really need to do & don't just go for a quick fix that doesn't last. If you can't do that, hire a real dog trainer or don't get a dog. A real "dog owner" considers the dog part of the family.

We tried two of these and they do not work on a small cockapoo.
