I bought two of these a few weeks ago to help with house cleaning, they where doing a great job, always busy, occasionally they would swim toward the top of the tank but a few seconds later they are back at it, head down, tails up and digging through the gravel, one disappeared completely, I suspect foul play at the fins of Bruce, my large Aussie Rainbow, I few days later I bought 2 more because I didn't want just one by it's self and in a 55 gallon tank there is plenty of room, they are fun to watch, especially when they get together, they are all over each other like long lost brothers and then it's back to work, they get on well with all the other fish which includes 4 white clouds, 5 neon tetras, 4 mollies, 5 green lanterns and of course the two Aussie rainbows.
I would definitely recommend these little guys any time.
p.s. I would have liked to add a pic of one but they move too fast, even for my high speed camera, all you see is a grey blur.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Inferno Really cool fish, and great cleaners!
I picked up a few about a week ago. I have already noticed a change in my water quality. They do a really good job, and they are some of the hardest-working fish I have ever owned! They are very hardy, and go good with almost every fish! Be careful with adding certain fish like tiger barbs. Be sure to add plenty of hiding spots, as they are shy and sensitive to light. Be sure to get at least 3.

I love these little guys! They are so cute & fun to watch. I recently bought 4 of them.. 1 peppered, 1 green, 1 skunk, & 1 albino. They are great bottom feeders & will eat food that has fallen to the bottom of your tank. They swim around a little, but mostly stay at the bottom. They will go up to the surface for a gulp of air every now & then too. They are very active, lively little fish. I had a peppered cory that lived 3 years & after he died I got these 4. They are some of my favorite fish. I have a BN pleco in my tank also, but he doesn't seem to bother them. My other fish don't seem to bother them either. I def recommend these guys, especially if you tend to over feed your fish (they will be happy to eat up the left overs).
