Within the first week I had noticed a few crickets around my house and thought maybe I had accidentally forgotten to close the lid however I found that wasn't the case. The crickets can get out of the slats and above the tube hole doors. I ended up sewing up a net bag to put around the cage just in case any got out. This morning 4 crickets got out of the cage and are climbing around the inside of the net bag. This product is a waste of $$.

If you are one of those people that are afraid of crickets, then this product is for you! It was always trouble when I fed my leopard gecko until I got the kricket keeper. All you need to do is shake the tubes directly into your pet's cage and your pet is fed. The tubes are textured so the crickets climb up into the tubes. I don't recommend using the covers for the tubes because when you take the tubes out, the covers close. Then when you put the tube back in the keeper, the cover is closed and you have to open it back up while the crickets are desperately climbing out. Overall, the kricket keeper works great! It is a highly recommended product. :-)

I had to get my money back! Almost all the crickets got out by climbing up the tubes and got out through the slits. I don't recommend this product unless you want crickets running around your house. Ended up putting them in a old 20 gallon tank with cover works much better!

When purchasing this, get the large. The small is too small. I used this for my beardie, than my leo. I now feed izzy, my leopard gecko, mealworms, but this was good for crickets.
