I eventually used the entire bottle on my 40 gallon, dosing by instructions on the back. I didn't really notice any changes at all. Maybe I wasn't dosing high enough. After the bottle was gone I did a DIY co2 setup and my plants are doing much better. I do recommend this product to at least try. Be very careful though, the active ingredient is glutaraldehyde, and can melt sensitive plants.

I purchased API CO2 Booster, along with a Narrow - Leaf Java Fern and a Windolev Java Fern.
It's a nice supplement to have, as I've noticed my Narrow Leaf Java Fern has nearly doubled in size/leaf amount over the past couple months (this could also be due to the hardy nature of the Java Fern). My Windolev is slower to grow, but recently sprouted some new leaves.
Overall, I wouldn't want to be without the Booster, but it's not a necessity. :)

by smokehidesstars Effective CO2 dosing for smaller tanks
Using in place of DIY or pressurized CO2 on a 20 gallon with absolutely no problems. 2 months in on my tank and everything is healthy and HUGE!
Only downside is that it must be dosed daily and carefully, as overdosing can harm fish and some plants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PJCO Keeping healthy aquarium plants is more difficult than keeping healthy tropical fish. CO2 Booster is the best plant fertilizer I have ever used. Does not affect fish. Plants never looked better!
