The release feature for cleaning the hair out of the brush is a great idea. It makes getting my dog's very fine hair easy to remove from the brush.
I read another review on this product that claimed this was a problem. The reviewer must have gotten a defective brush. I have never experienced the problem of the bristles coming all the way through the cleaning feature.
